I wrote a short trip report and photo gallery for the American Alpine Club on the 2011 Perú expedition and they have posted a great page on their Inclined blog! It’s great to see the continued interest in the project and support building for excursions this year and next. AAC Blog | Inclined | Perú […]

I am super excited to announce a great travel opportunity this summer. Dr. John All (who I went to Perú with last year) & I are leading a Study Away course combining John’s Geography coursework and my Photo mind called US National Parks Study Away. 2011 has been a phenomenal year for me… two major international trips in 6 months (Perú & China), a new house and a great job have blessed me. Here are some of my favorite images from the past year!

Peru Highlights

As Autumn is in full swing here in Kentucky, I took a few hours over the weekend to hike & climb around Shanty Hollow Lake. With our drought, there was very little water in a small slot canyon feature, which made for fun exploring!

I had a great time at the Red River Gorge Climbers Coalition‘s annual Rocktoberfest climbing weekend near Slade. This was my second year to attend and this time around I was set to document the festival and climb some great routes. I am getting much more comfortable in the 5.7-5.9 grade range, but I still […]
